As Sri Lankans we are blessed with this oval shaped green fruit throughout the year but not all of us really buy them or show interest in consuming them.

The fruit is generally plucked when it is still unripe, and they have a hint of sweetness and sourness. When ripe the fruit turns yellow and tastes a little like a mixture of mangoes and pineapples.
