Home to the Ambassador of Canada and his wife, The Canada House is a beautiful, 1930’s creation that stands majestically on the corner of Buller’s Road (Bauddhaloka Mawatha) and Torrington Avenue. Walking around the Canada House gardens which seemed to be spread across more than one acre or so, we saw to our amazement, green chillies, ladies fingers, peppers, bananas, cabbages, etc. as well as a blooming garden full of flowers. The First Lady Victoria Walker takes pride in talking about her orchids and praises her gardner for helping her keep them so flourishing and in full bloom.
